Dara O’Kearney. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 5: 300/600 (600) Entries: 95/111 Prizes: €100,000 GTD This poker.pro live reporter took a stroll through the tournament area and noticed Irish poker legend Dara O’Kearney opening to 1,500 from the Hi-jack. His opponent in the Big Blind decided to defend her Big Blind, and the dealer brought the 6♠8♠K♠ flop to the table. The opponent check-called a 1,500 continuation bet from O’Kearney. Action then went check-check on the 9♣ turn. The opponent completed the check trifecta on the 3♥ river; O’Kearney now fired a 4,000 bet, and the opponent called.
O’Kearney revealed 6♣3♣, which was enough to take down the pot.

Trip Down Memory Lane: The 2025 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow

Zhen Zhen, winner of the £500 Main Event during the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Last year, PartyPoker made its much-anticipated return to the live poker scene, as the 2025 PartyPoker Tour was born. The tour consisted of five stops (all in the UK), and the successful first year is why the tour is expanding to Spain this year.
The third stop of the 2025 PartyPoker tour was in Glasgow. The legendary PokerBrand took over Alea Casino for a week; it’s an utterly beautiful casino with the most amazing view over the River Clyde.
The £500 Main Event featured a Cinderella story, as exchange student Zhen Zhen navigated her way through the field that consisted of 256 entries. For her win, Zhen was awarded £22,500, the largest chunk of the £111,821 prize pool.
The festival, naturally, also featured the £150 Mini Main Event. That particular affair scored 468 entries, creating a £57,966 prize pool. It was local player Christian Watt who claimed the win and the £10,260 first-place payout.
PartyPoker will return to Glasgow and Alea Casino as a part of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour. All players would be very wise to mark August 3-9 in their calendars, preparing for yet another PartyPoker Tour event in the Scottish gem.

PartyPoker Tour Seville 2026: Finding Confidence at the Table
At the PartyPoker Tour in Seville, I met Kristina Rutia and Paola Morrondo — two players at very different stages of their poker journeys, yet united by something powerful: the decision to show up.
For Paola, this was her first time ever playing poker in person.
“It was the last opportunity I had to come, and I just came,” she tells me, smiling. Work had almost made it impossible. With only one free day in an otherwise packed schedule, she nearly didn’t make it. Online poker had always fit her life better — fast, flexible, something you can dip in and out of. Live poker felt like a different commitment altogether.
Paola And yet, encouraged by her boyfriend Marcos, she took the leap.
“I was really nervous,” she admits. “I’d never sat down with people playing right next to me.”
That first experience could easily have been overwhelming. Instead, it became something else entirely.
“The people were really encouraging. They told me I played well. It made me want to keep going.”
Kristina’s story begins differently, but arrives at a similar place.
Originally from Zaragoza, she had played poker casually with family and friends. But everything changed when she started watching professional games online.
“It felt like a completely different world,” she says. “I couldn’t quite grasp the nuances.”
Kristina That changed when her partner Yeyu introduced her to the deeper mechanics of the game.
“He said to me, ‘Son of a gun, you’re playing better than me!’ That was it. From that moment, I never looked back.”
Since then, poker has become central not just to her life, but to her relationship. And travel is a huge part of the appeal.
“I love going to different places. That’s one of the best things about the PartyPoker tour.”
Of course, the reality is not always glamorous.
“Sometimes you’re playing until 5am. There’s no way I’m getting up at 9am to explore the city,” she laughs. “But it’s worth it. After all, I’m here for the poker.”
What makes this story particularly compelling is that Kristina and Paola met here in Seville.
A shared experience at the tables quickly turned into a friendship — and now, a plan.
They want to travel together to future poker stops, building a small but growing community of women who can support each other.
“There were only four women and more than a hundred men,” Paola says. “I almost didn’t come because of that.”
But she did.
And Kristina is quick to point out that things are changing.
“I always notice how many women are playing. And there are more and more of us.”
Visibility matters. Representation matters. And interestingly, she notes that even in online spaces, gender plays a role.
“A lot of usernames are female, even when men are playing. People assume women are weaker players.”
It’s a revealing insight into the psychology of the game — and the quiet strategies that shape it.
Online poker and live poker, both agree, are two completely different beasts.
Online, you can get used to patterns, styles, and rhythms. In person, everything shifts. You read the room. You read people. You learn again.
And yet, platforms like PartyPoker make that transition possible.
They offer real accessibility — the chance to qualify, to try, to step into the live arena without barriers that once felt insurmountable.
For Paola, that opportunity made all the difference.
“This is just the beginning,” she says.
Seville, too, plays its part.
There is something about the city — its warmth, its openness, its energy — that mirrors the atmosphere at the tables. Even among strangers, there is a sense of ease. The games are not silent, tense spaces. People talk. They help. They encourage.
And then there is everything else: the food, the weather, the rhythm of the streets.
It is a city that welcomes you, even if you have never been before.
At the tables, Kristina is effortlessly stylish, adorned with poker-inspired accessories. Paola, with her distinctive glasses, brings her own sharp edge.
Poker, here, is not just a game. It is becoming something else — a space of identity, style, and community.
And perhaps most importantly, it is becoming a space where women feel they can belong.
They are still nervous. That doesn’t disappear overnight.
But they are playing anyway.
And that is where everything begins. -

Lopez check-called a 275,000 bet from Cubero on the A♣2♣4♥ flop. After another check from Lopez on the 10♥ turn, Cubero moved all in for 1,475,000. Lopez made the call without hesitation.
Juanmi Cubero: K♥Q♥
Gilberto Lopez: 4♠4♣Not a half-shabby semi-bluff from Cubero, but Lopez was way ahead with a flopped set. Cubero didn’t hit any of his outs on the 5♣ river, and he was sent to the rail in thirteenth place for €720.

Salamanca Doubles Up

Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 27: 60,000/120,000 (120,000) Entries: 13/653 Prizes: €84,000 Action folded to short-stacked Manuel Salamanca, who moved all in for 320,000 from the Small Blind. It was a “Call with any two” scenario for Gilberto Lopez Manzanero, and, as such, he did make the call from the Big Blind.
Manuel Salamanca: 8♣7♦
Gilberto Lopez Manzanero: A♠J♥Salamanca was trailing, but he was well alive. He immediately connected on the Q♥6♥8♠ flop, and as the board completed with 9♠5♣, he secured a full double-up.

Jose Maria Lozano Granjo: 5♦5♥
Daniele Barbera: J♥10♥Granjo’s small pocket pair stood the test of time, as the board spelled out 8♥A♦7♦5♣8♦. As Granjo doubled up, Barbera was left in critical condition.

Patel Doubles Through Iwaniak

After an initial check from Patel on the 3♥K♠7♣ flop, Iwaniak forced her opponent all in for 585,000. Patel wasted little time before making the call for his tournament life.
Linda Iwaniak: 5♠5♦
Dillan Patel: K♦J♦A good scenario for Patel, and the runout didn’t see Iwaniak reclaim the lead. She lost the bigger chunk of her chips to Patel, but she’s still one of three women standing in the €150 Mini Main Event (together with Peggy “Pocket Peg” Crawford and Carmen Lopez Cubero).

Niall “Firaldo” Farrell. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 24: 25,000/50,000 (50,000) Entries: 24/653 Prizes: €84,000 After winning a significant pot against Hady Sirbu, PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Niall “Firaldo” Farrell now seems to have reclaimed the chip lead. He’s playing 2,450,000, and two seats to the right of him. Rodriguez Ialamonte has almost an identical stack. Those two are currently leading the field with three tables remaining.

Bold Bluff from Mortensen

Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 22: 15,000/30,000 (30,000) Entries: 27/653 Prizes: €84,000 Action folded to the charismatic Hady Sirbu, who opened to 75,000 from the Button. Markus Mortensen decided to defend his Big Blind.
Mortensen chose to donk bet 80,000 on the K♥A♠6♣ flop, and Sirbu made the call. Mortensen slowed down and proceeded to check-call a 50,000 bet from Sirbu on the 7♠ turn. The river was the A♦, pairing the board, and Mortensen now bet 225,000. This had Sirbu visibly troubled. “It doesn’t make sense,” he scratched his head. After perhaps two minutes’ worth of pondering, he decided to let his hand go.
“Show me,” Sirbu urged his opponent. “I’m not sure you want to see it,” Mortensen replied, as he revealed his J♦5♠ holdings. The table shared a laugh, and being a good sport, Sirbu bro-fisted his opponent.

Mario De La Rosa: K♠J♠
Sergey: A♠Q♣Sergey maintained the lead on the 8♥6♣3♦ flop, but momentum switched on the J♥ turn. The 2♦ river extended De La Rosa’s tournament life.

Niall “Firaldo” Farrell (UTG) checked it over to Ryana Kritzer, who checked it back. On the 10♣ river, Firaldo put out a 350,000 bet, big enough to get a fold out of Kritzer.
It’s quite the interesting table with Firaldo, Kritzer (who is the fiancée of PartyPoker Team Pro Matt Staples), Day 1a chip leader Peggy “Pocket Peg” Crawford, and early-stages chip leader Jose Maria Lozano Granjo.

Niall “Firaldo” Farrell. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 21: 10,000/25,000 (25,000) Entries: 39/653 Prizes: €84,000 Seated UTG, Adrian Casado Lopez opened to 50,000. Action folded all the way to Gabriel Barba, who decided to defend his Big Blind.
Barba immediately moved all in for roughly 200,000 on the 2♠9♦8♦ flop, and Casado Lopez called just as fast.
Gabriel Barba: 10♥8♥
Adrian Casado Lopez: K♦K♠“Again?!” This poker.pro live reporter was thinking, as pocket kings appeared for at least the fifth time tonight. No dice for Barba on the monotone runout, and all his chips went to Casado Lopez.
Seated on the same table is PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Niall “Firaldo” Farrell, who is playing roughly 1,000,000.

Staples is Out

Matt Staples. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 20: 10,000/20,000 (20,000) Entries: 39/653 Prizes: €84,000 PartyPoker Team Pro Matt Staples was all in before the flop for what looked to be 200,000.
Matt Staples: A♠K♦
Opponent: 2♥2♠Both players improved on the 2♣J♣10♥ flop, but Staples was in rough shape. The runout turned out to be quite the rollercoaster; Staples improved to a straight on the Q♠ turn, but the Q♥ river saw his opponent improving to a full house.
As such, Staples was eliminated in fortieth place for €360. That means that Niall “Firaldo” Farrell is the only one left wearing a PartyPoker patch. What’s worth mentioning, though, is that Staples’ fiancée, Ryana Kritzer, is still in the field. Not too shabby, considering it’s her first-ever live poker tournament.

Matteo Fritz then moved all in for 155,000, and Miguel Gomez Parraga re-shoved for roughly 500,000 from the Big Blind. Crawford grimaced, “That’s unfortunate,” before folding her hand.
Matteo Fritz: A♣4♥
Miguel Gomez Parraga: K♦K♥This is the fourth time today that this poker.pro live reporter sees pocket kings. The Q♣9♠Q♦ flop didn’t help Fritz, and he was drawing dead when Gomez Parraga improved to a full house on the K♣ turn. The dealer dealt the A♥ for ceremonial reasons, before pushing all the chips to Gomez Parraga.

Del Valle check-called a 25,000 continuation bet from Staples on the Q♣10♣J♥ flop. Action repeated itself on the K♥ turn, the only difference being that Staples now sized up to 80,000. Del Valle completed the check trifecta on the 2♦ river. Staples now pulled the trigger and moved all in for 138,000. Blaise Bourgeois. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Raymond Masters (who, by the way, bagged a decent stack from Day 1a of the €150 Mini Main Event) played 79,000 in the €100 PLO Masters Big O, and he got it all-in after some back-and-forth potting against Blaise Bourgeois.
Raymond Masters: Q♣J♦Q♦4♥4♣
Blaise Bourgeois: A♠K♠7♥6♠2♠“Sixes are good,” Bourgeois declared as he witnessed the 6♦9♥6♣ flop. The board completed with 7♣6♥. No low on the board, and as Bourgeois scooped the pot, Masters was eliminated in third place for €290; roughly three hours after Sam Acheampong went out in fourth.
As such, the stage is now set for a heads-up showdown between Bourgeois and PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Rebecca Hardisty. The current blind level is 8,000/16,000.

Forty players are left in Day 1c out of the 113 entries, and, as previously hinted, 17 will make it through.
The chips are trading owners back and forth in the €100 PLO Masters Big O. It’s actually insane how long they’ve stayed three-handed.

A General Update

Photo: Nunzia Esposito The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing at Admiral Casino. What a great success the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville is turning out to be.
Day 1b of the €150 Mini Main Event is down to 46 players, meaning 18 more will have to go before the survivors can bag for Day 2.
Late registration is closed for Day 1c with 113 entries. This poker.pro live reporter guesses that 17 players will make it through to Day 2. Glenn Brown, Jaime Staples, and Matt Staples are all still in the mix.
There are still three players left in the €100 PLO Masters Big O. Below are the current standings.

Staples Brothers Are Out

Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 13: 2,000/4,000 (4,000) Entries: 50/188 Prizes: €50,000 GTD Jaime Staples and Matt Staples have both been eliminated from the €150 Mini Main Event Day 1b flight. The Blinds are high, and so are the stakes; the number of players still in is decreasing rather swiftly, and it won’t be too long until only 28 players remain and bags for Day 2.
Meanwhile, the three remaining players in the €100 PLO Masters Big O are in the money, after PartyPoker Tour Ambassador bubbled in fourth place. They’re all guaranteed a €290 min-cash, and Ambassador Rebecca Hardisty is still in the field.

The Brits Know Their Four-Card Shenanigans

Blaise Bourgeois. Photo: Nunzia Esposito The €100 PLO Masters Big O is down to the last stretch. Four players are left in the field, and three of them will be paid. All in all, the tournament scored 17 entries, creating a €1,445 prize pool.
“Look at that, the four players that ordered drinks are the four players left,” Blaise Bourgeois declared, as he proposed a toast to his opponents. There are no Spanish players left in the field; perhaps, PLO is the UK residents’ game. Two PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors, Rebecca Hardisty and Sam Acheampong, are still in the mix.

McNamara Stacks Jiminez

Photo: Nunzia Esposito Lisa McNamara came with PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Glenn Brown to the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Sheffield, and she’s currently in Day 1c of the €150 Mini Main Event. She qualified for the event online; it was her first-ever ticket won online, and she’s thrilled to be in sunny Spain.
Seated at Table 19, she had another PartyPoker Tour Ambassador, Bárbara Jiminez, to her immediate right. The two of them were heads-up on a [pcnTsQd3c2cAc][/pcn] board, with perhaps 15,000 in the middle. After a 7,000 bet from Jiminez, McNamara forced her opponent all in for 23,000 in total. Jiminez contemplated her decision for a minute or two, before making the call.
Lisa McNamara: K♣J♣
Bárbara Jiminez: 10♣6♣An unfortunate scenario for Jiminez, who had the less superior flush. McNamara sent the ambassador to the rail, and time will tell whether she decides to rebuy.

He’s been a faithful visitor to the PartyPoker Tour ever since the first stop back in April 2024 (London). He just told this poker.pro live reporter about a cool hand he just played.
Player A opened, and Sirbu made the call with 7♣8♣. Player A continued for 6,000 on the 5♠6♦J♦ flop, and Sirbu made the call. Player A slowed down and checked the 5♦ turn, and Sirbu now decided to bet 20,000. Player A made the call.
The dealer revealed the K♥ on the river. Player A now reclaimed the driver’s seat with a 50,000 bet. After some pondering, Sirbu moved all in for 105,000. He was trying to engage his opponent in some table talk: “You’ve already bet 50,000, you can’t fold to this small raise,” he joked with his competitor. Player A eventually folded, and Sirbu proudly revealed his 8♣7♣ for the bluff.

“HOOOOOOOOOLD”

Sam Acheampong. Photo: Nunzia Esposito While the Day 1b players of the €150 Mini Main Event are still on the dinner break, this poker.pro live reporter took a stroll by the €100 PLO Masters Big O. The board read Q♣J♥3♥9♥, and PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Sam Acheampong was all-in. It was a three-way pot, and after Acheampong’s shove, Player A re-raised all in, and Player B made the call. Acheampong was hoping to win the 57,400 main pot as the players turned over their hole cards.
Sam Acheampong: A♥6♥7♦4♣5♦
Player A: 10♥8♥10♦8♣5♠
Player B: 3♦3♣8♣K♣A♦A♠“Hooooooold!” Acheampong roared his catch phrase across the room, urging the Poker Gods to let his nut flush be the best hand after the river. They heard his prayers, and the 6♦ saw him scooping the pot, seeing as there was no low on the board. A moment of confusion followed as Player B – and everyone else – realised he had six cards in his hand, instead of five. An honest mistake which, in the end, didn’t matter. Player A won the side pot, while Acheampong received the full triple-up. With 57,400, he now plays an average stack.

Guarantee is hit

Blaise Bourgeois. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 10: 1,000/2,000 (2,000) Entries: 99/185 Prizes: €50,000 GTD Just like that, the €50,000 guarantee for the €150 Mini Main Event has been surpassed, as 40 1c players are currently battling it out during Level 1, while the 1b players are enjoying their dinner break. The current prize pool reads €51,625, and considering 1c has barely just begun (and with tomorrow’s hyper-turbo 1d flight in mind), it’s destined to grow even bigger.
It’s been said before, but it’s worth saying again: the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville is off to a stellar start.

Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 10: 1,000/2,000 (2,000) Entries: 99/185 Prizes: €50,000 GTD It’s time for the 60-minute dinner break for the players in Day 1b of the €150 Mini Main Event. While they are seeking to enjoy a Black Angus burger or similar, the Day 1c players are getting ready to take their seats in the turbo flight, which kicks off at 21:00.
Late registration for the €100 PLO Masters Big O is open for roughly two more hours. There are currently nine players in out of the 13 total entries. Actually, make that 10 out of 14, as PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Sam Acheampong just walked past this reporter, ticket in hand.

The Room is Getting Busy

Rebecca Hardisty. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 8: 600/1,200 (1,200) Entries: 114/170 Prizes: €50,000 GTD Day 1b of the €150 Mini Main Event is in full flare. In roughly 30 minutes, the players will go on a 60-minute dinner break. After that, late registration will be closed. Rumors have it PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples will take full advantage of late registration and join his dear brother Matt Staples in the mix.
Meanwhile, PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Rebecca Hardisty has jumped into the €100 PLO Masters Big O, bringing the current number of entries up to 12. Fellow Ambassador Sam Acheampong is allegedly to join the action soon, along with some other UK residents.
The James Bond of poker media, Glenn Brown, is also set to arrive at Admiral Casino soon. God knows what he’ll be playing.

Trip Down Memory Lane: The 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester

Deniz Orhan, winner of the £500 Main Event during the 2025 PartyPoker Tour Manchester. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Last year, PartyPoker made its much-anticipated return to the live poker scene, as the 2025 PartyPoker Tour was born. The tour consisted of five stops (all in the UK), and the successful first year is why the tour is expanding to Spain this year.
The second stop of the 2025 tour was held at the picturesque Manchester235 Casino in Manchester. The £500 Main Event attracted 257 entries, generating a £107,248 prize pool. Deniz Orhan managed to conquer the field, taking home £19,843 after making a deal.
The £150 Mini Main Event win was claimed by Ion Oprea. He maneuvered his way through the field that consisted of 418 entries, ultimately claiming the £8,885 first-place prize, which was the biggest slice of the £52,710 prize pool. Oprea followed up his Mini Main Event win with a third-place finish in the Main Event.

PLO Masters Debuting in Spain

JJ Hazan. Photo: Nunzia Esposito While the two flights of the €150 Mini Main Event might be the highlights on today’s tournament schedule, there is also some four-card action available in the form of the €100 PLO Masters Big O, which kicks off at 19:00.
The PLO Masters is the concept created by UK poker legend JJ Hazan, and it’s basically a series of PLO tournaments that he runs in conjunction with various tours; the PartyPoker Tour in particular, as the PLO Masters was a part of the majority of the stops during the 2025 tour.

PartyPoker’s Second Visit at Admiral Casino

Casino Admiral, Seville. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 2: 100/200 (200) Entries: 74/75 Prizes: €50,000 GTD The ongoing 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville is the first time the tour, which was founded last year, makes its appearance in Seville (and in Spain overall). However, PartyPoker did play a crucial part at an event in this very city a few years ago.
Roughly seven years ago, the 2019 Spanish Poker Tour (SPF) Sevilla Presented by partypoker took over the Admiral Casino, the very same place we’re inside right now. The week-long festival featured six unique events, headlined by a €300 Main Event. A total of 215 entries smashed the €30,000 guarantee, creating a €53,411 prize pool. When the dust settled, it was Jose Lopez who claimed the win and the €12,313 first-place payout.
While it may not be compared to their engagement in the ongoing tour, the aforementioned event plays a vital part in PartyPoker’s history. Now, seven years later, they’re back in Seville and Admiral Casino, writing new chapters in the poker history books.

Out of the four, Firaldo was the only one who made it through to Day 2. Perhaps, the other three will take a shot at redemption today.
Two other PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors who are arriving in Seville today are Glenn Brown and Sam Acheampong. To be fair, they’re both already in the city, but have yet to make their way to Admiral Casino. Rumors has it Acheampong will tangle in the €100 PLO Masters Big O, while Brown is determined to give the Mini Main Event a shot.

That’s a Wrap; Play has Concluded

Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 16: 4,000/8,000 (8,000) Entries: 34/228 Prizes: €50,000 GTD With 35 players remaining, the floor asked the dealers to hold off before dealing the next hand, so that they could announce hand-for-hand. However, there was still action going on at one of the tables. The flop read 3♣A♥5♣, and the remaining chips between the two players went in the middle.
Player A: 3♥3♦
Player B: A♦10♠Player A was the player at risk, but he was looking good to receive a full double-up. He maintained his lead on the 2♠ turn. When the A♠ came on the river, Player B celebrated, thinking he had the winning hand with a better three-of-a-kind. Eventually, he realised his opponent had improved to a full house, and that he, in fact, became the unfortunate bubble boy.
That’s a wrap for today’s live coverage here on poker.pro, and the first day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville is now done and dusted. The chip counts for Day 1a of the €150 Mini Main Event will be uploaded as fast as possible. Tomorrow morning, a longer recap of today’s action will be posted on poker.pro.
Thanks to everyone who’s been following along with the live coverage today. The blog will go live tomorrow at 16:00 for Day 1b; then, the poker.pro will have better access to player tracking, which means the live coverage will be elevated to another level.

Pocket Peg Potential Chip Leader After Sick Runout

Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 15: 3,000/6,000 (6,000) Entries: 40/228 Prizes: €50,000 GTD Between hands, this poker.pro live reporter had a small chat with Peggy “Pocket Peg” Crawford and Blaise Bourgeois. Crawford is playing 560,000, which could be the biggest stack in the room at this stage. She showed us the video of her securing a massive pot, and it was quite the rollercoaster of a hand.
From the video, it looks like Crawford opened to 12,000 UTG. Player A then moved all in for 35,000 from the Button. Player B re-shoved for 200,000 from the Small Blind. Having both players covered, Crawford made the call.
Player A: A♠J♣
Player B: A♣Q♠
Peggy “Pocket Peg” Crawford: K♠K♥Crawford was ahead, but she was not a big fan of the 8♥A♥10♠ flop. The Poker Gods were looking out for the WSOP Circuit Ring winner, though; the board completed with 2♥5♥, and Crawford secured the massive pot after hitting the runner-runner nut flush.
Only six more players will go out before the survivors will bag for Day 2. It’ll be interesting to see if Crawford can keep the momentum going and bag a top-three stack.

Decent One for Staples

Matt Staples. Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 15: 3,000/6,000 (6,000) Entries: 84/653 Prizes: €84,000 Action folded to Raymond Masters, who opened to 12,000 from the Hi-jack. Seated right next to him, PartyPoker Team Pro Matt Staples three-bet to 32,000. Alberto Del Valle cold-called from the Big Blind, before Masters swiftly folded.
This had Del Valle visibly confused; after spending a minute or two in the tank, he folded, and Staples added valuable chips to his stack.

Carlos Simon: K♠3♦
Sam Acheampong: A♥2♣“Aiyaah,” Acheampong sighed as he saw the K♣4♥5♣ flop. He didn’t manage to catch up on the 6♣5♥ runout, and he lost a decent stack to Simon. “All I want to do is hold,” the London resident sighed.

That’s All She Wrote

Photo: Nunzia Esposito The Day 1b players of the €150 Mini Main Event have now bagged their chips, which means today’s poker.pro live coverage has come to an end.
This was an absolute marathon of a day; the action was immense during the second day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville. The poker.pro editorial office will return with the Day 1b chip counts as soon as possible. That is also the case with Day 1c; worst case, that one will be posted in the morning.
A longer recap of today’s action will be posted tomorrow. Tomorrow’s live coverage will commence at 20:00, when Day 2 of the Mini Main Event kicks off. In other words, it’s going to be another busy day at Admiral Casino.
Thanks to everyone who’s been following along with today’s action, and see you tomorrow.

Hardisty bid farewell in second place for €435, while Bourgeois claimed the €720 first-place payout and the coveted trophy. It was also the first-ever live poker PLO title for the WSOP Circuit Ring winner. He’ll be back tomorrow for his official winner’s photo.

Heads-up in the Big O

Bald Bluff by Sirbu

Photo: Nunzia Esposito Level 10: 1,000/2,000 (2,000) Entries: 79/188 Prizes: €50,000 GTD Hady Sirbu is in Spain, enjoying the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Seville.

However, that is only a guess; the official number should be communicated by the floor shortly.

Yesterday, PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples was in Day 1a, but he didn’t manage to secure a Day 2 bag. While he’s yet to arrive at Casino Admiral today, his brother Matt Staples (also a PartyPoker Team Pro) has just entered Day 1b. Time will tell if any PartyPoker Tour Ambassadors join him.

Las Meninas, painted by Diego Velázquez.
