Heads up in the PKO was a quick affair, and it ended in a race. Ed Sorensen opened to 50k, then called it off when Ali Razzaq shoved.

Sorensen had suited Broadway with AJ against pocket sixes for Razzaq. Sorensen took a big lead on the flop with two pair, and Razzaq bricked the runout of AJ4Q2. The stacks were pretty close at the time, but when the chips were counted, Sorensen was the big stack by about 100k, taking the trophy and the win.

Razzaq was a bit of a wrecking ball through this one, pocketing $2,380 in bounties to add to his $5,200. Sorensen didn’t take nearly as many through the day, with $840 in his pocket at the end, but when Razzaq’s bounty of $3,725 was added in, he added $4,565 to his $5,200.

Dalphond had A5 against A3 for Sorenson and pocket nines for Comely. When the J104K6 board was complete, Comely’s nines were still best, and he scored a near triple-up while Dalphond hit the cage in 4th place.

    Local Time:12:40 AM
    Eric Wasylenko

Ed Sorenson raised under the gun to 30k, and Ryan Comely flatted next to act. It folded to Eric Wasylenko in the big blind, and he shoved for 70k. Sorenson put in a min-raise to 110k, and Comely tanked for a couple of minutes before folding pocket sevens face up.

Wasy was on queens and in good shape against A9 for Sorenson, but Sorenson smashed the flop of A9A610 for the flopped boat and the win. Wasy added $375 in bounties to his payout of $1,415.

When the stacks were counted Stevenson was still alive, but barely, with just 3k behind. That was all-in from the small blind in the next hand, and once again he was in good shape against big blind Ali Razzaq, with Stevenson on nine-three of spades against five-deuce of spades.

It wasn’t Stevenson’s night, however, as Razzaq managed to find his five on a board of 56K64, despite the flush draw coming on the flop.

Razvan Radu shoved, and Johnny Dalphond called off with more for a race between ace-king for Radu and pocket nines for Dalphond. The nines held, and Radu was out in 11th.

On the second hand of bubble play, Shabab Khan shoved and Ali Razzaq called. Khan was dominated with king-ten against king-jack, and Razzaq found two jacks on the flop of J2J107, and Khan was the bubble boy tonight.

Stay tuned for final table photos.

  • Time to Get Some Booties!

    Date:May 10, 2 PM
    Blinds:30 Minutes
    Starting Stack:25k
    Late Entry:8 Levels (~6:45 PM)
    Day 1 Ends:One-Day Event

The side game on Sunday is the Progressive Knockout. Note that the title on the structure says “$450 PKO”, but the game is actually a $560 buy-in, with $300 for prizes, $200 for the bounty, and $60 for fees.

As is typical with the PKO, when a player is knocked out, half their bounty goes into the winner’s pocket, while the other half gets added to the winner’s head. So, with a knockout where both players are still on the starting stack, the winner will get $100 in their pocket immediately, and their bounty also increases to $300.

The booty action gets going at 2 PM, and blinds are 30 minutes long. Players can get into the game or rebuy for 8 levels, or until about 6:45 PM. They’ll play down to the trophy in this one-day event.

Jordan Panas, Winner of the PKO, with the crew

In the first series of 2026, Jordan Panas and Benny Sarnelli chopped it up, with Panas taking the win and Sarnelli scoring the biggest payday. That game drew 118 entries for combined prizes of $56,050.

The big damage happened when Eric Wasylenko shoved cutoff, and Preston Steven called off in the big blind. Stevenson was in good shape with AK against queen-ten off for Wasy, but Wasy found a ten and held on a board of 108574.
