After a record 1,160 entries smashed the €1,000,000 guarantee to build a €1,472,120 prize pool, 175 players returned for Day 2 on Sunday, and by the time the felt went quiet, just 24 remained. Hungary’s Laszlo Janoszki sits in the top spot heading into Monday, when the field will play down to a final table of nine ahead of Tuesday’s crowning of a champion for the gold ring, €235,000, and a WSOP Paradise Bahamas package.
With the festival winding down, only two more rings are waiting for new recipients: the Main Event and Ring Event #12 €1,000 NLH Last Chance, which also got underway on Sunday. Bulgaria’s Viktor Filipov will carry the chip lead into that event’s final day.

Main Event Narrows to a Final 24
Just 24 players remain in the record-breaking Main Event, which drew 1,160 entries in total to build the €1,472,120 prize pool, the biggest in Card Casino Šamorín history. Of the 175 players who started Day 2 on Sunday, only 24 survived to see Monday’s action.
Hungary’s Laszlo Janoszki sits atop the counts with 4,705,000, good for 78 big blinds. Ukraine’s Rostyslav Sabishchenko is right behind him and will bring 3,760,000 to Monday’s restart, while Italy’s Marco Bognanni rounds out the podium with 3,585,000, or 59 big blinds. It was a rough day for the player who came into it as the overall chip leader, Italy’s Riccardo Trevisani, who was knocked out early in 39th place.
All 24 survivors have already locked up €7,450, with that figure jumping to €17,390 the moment the field reaches the final table of nine. From there, the €235,000 top prize isn’t far out of reach.
Play resumes at 2 p.m. local time on Monday, with the field playing down to the final nine. Livestream kicks off half an hour later to cover the action. The champion will then be crowned on Tuesday.

Filipov Leads Ring Event #12: €1,000 NLH Last Chance
As the name suggests, the €1,000 NLH Last Chance is exactly that, a one final shot at a Bratislava ring. Day 1 brought together 142 entries, pushing the prize pool from its €100,000 guarantee to a current €122,265, and that number is still growing since registration hasn’t closed yet. Late registration remains open for two more levels on Day 2.
72 players bagged up on Day 1. Bulgaria’s Viktor Filipov leads the way with 349,000, good for 139 big blinds, with Gal Bar (242,500, 97 big blinds) and Peter Fox (241,500, 96 big blinds) the closest challengers. Anyone entering during the late registration window will start with 50,000 in chips, or 20 big blinds. The tournament restarts at 4 p.m. on Monday and plays all the way down to a winner.
